This is the name of the mineral group, where the most numerous group are fluorapatites. Quite rare mineral, found only in some regions of the Earth. It has a very large color palette. It can often be confused with other minerals, mainly from the Beryl group, e.g. the pink variety can be mistaken for morganite. Apatites can often change color under the influence of light intensity in the direction of the so-called pleochroism.

Our minerals come mainly from Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Pure uncracked crystals are used in jewelry. It is a very valuable collector's mineral. Partially used in industry as a source of phosphorus.
